Michael Bernstein Born in Iowa and raised in Grand Rapids, Michael Bernstein got his degree in Computer Science in Colorado, and moved to New York to hone his acting skills, exploring every opportunity, from independent and studio films and tiny shoebox productions of Chekhov to the latest Richard Greenberg play.  "I knew that the two biggest markets for actors were Los Angeles and New York, and New York just felt like home," he explains.  "I came to do theatre, but I’m delighted to find that movies not only get cast in the City, but filmed here as well."

Michael has two projects up right now.  The first is playing the Cockney Palace Guard in The Prince and the Pauper at the Snug Harbor Cultural Center.  "They have a beautiful theatre out there—the second oldest in the City, right after Carnegie Hall -- and I’m excited to work with them since everyone I’ve met so far has been both quite nice and very professional."

The second is a film by an NYU student named David Brenner called Chew Chew Train, where he plays a driven junior executive who has found himself more deeply involved with his boss than he could have ever expected.  The film was shot in 2004, and it will premiere at the Cantor Film Center on April 1st and 2nd.
